Top 5 Reasons for Window Tinting

 1) Prevent Normal Fading Damage

90% of Fading is caused by a combination of U.V. Rays, visible light and heat damage. With even the lightest film offered, V-58, the average life expectancy will be more than doubled and it only gets better from there. V-33, the most popular film in the lineup, more than triples the average life expectancy. Not only will this extend the time between furniture and window treatment purchases but will substantially cut the cost of damages to flooring, carpeting and area rugs. This alone can result in savings upwards to the tens of thousands.

 2) Reduce Heat and Glare

It’s a proven fact that people work and relax more efficiently and in an environment where it is more comfortable. The blinding light and the scorching heat make both the home and office an undesirable place to be. Window films, varying by type, transmit the desired heat and light while at the same time reflecting or absorbing the undesired solar energy.

3) Pay for Itself in Year 'Round Energy Savings

The cost of utilities in the past couple of years has gone up and there is no reason to indicate that is going to change any time soon. Your annual electric bill can be substantially reduced by the installation of window film. You will reduce the electric bills used for air conditioning throughout the warm summer months and provide an extra layer of insulation on the glass for the winter months. The summer heat reduction is substantially greater than the winter heat reduction but both work together for annual savings.

4) Balance Out Hot-Cold Spots

All too often one exposure of homes gets much more sun than the others. When this happens, the air condition and/or heating kick in to try to cool or warm the affected area. The problem with this is that the areas that are unaffected by the sun become increasingly uncomfortable while the heating and air systems address the other areas. This can be very frustrating because a comfortable balance is never achieved. You can use film to focus on bringing balance to the problem areas and your utilities will operate much more efficiently throughout.

 5) Provide a New Level of Safety

In the case of a break-in or accident, window film will help to hold the glass together should it break or be broken. It is not designed as security film but it will hold the glass together in the instance that something of force is brought into contact with the glass. However, it should not be confused with a security film.
